Global Classrooms- Model United Nations
“The Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. In the MUN, students step into the shoes of ambassadors from UN states to debate current issues on the organization’s agenda…….
We, as high school students and MUN delegates have benefited from and enjoyed this interactive learning experience. It not only involves young people in the study and discussion of global issues, but also encourages the development of useful skills, such as research, writing, public speaking, problem solving, consensus building, conflict resolution and compromise.
It has been an extremely important experience because the MUN promotes students interest in many international subjects and makes students more knowledgeable about a variety of topics. Moreover, it builds young people’s confidence and shapes the way students learn and think around the world around them.”
